Wholesale & distribution
Wholesale pricing that nobody has to remember
Wholesale runs on relationships — which in practice means every party has a rate, every rate has an exception, and all of it lives in the owner’s head. Cartix moves that into the engine: the counter resolves the right price per customer, per product, per quantity, and the owner’s head is free again.
A quicker counter. A calmer day.
Scan a barcode, find a loose item, split a payment. Everything you need to finish the bill stays within reach.

The pricing hierarchy
- Retail and wholesale price on every product, switchable on the bill header
- Price tiers — name your party grades and set tier prices per product
- Customer overrides — an agreed party rate that follows that customer everywhere
- Quantity slabs — price breaks that apply themselves as the quantity crosses each level
- Resolved in strict order: customer rate → tier price → quantity slab → base price
- The cashier never chooses — the right rate is simply on the line
Schemes
- Buy X get Y free, set per product
- Scope a scheme to one tier — a distributor scheme your retail counter never sees
- A tier scheme beats the general scheme automatically
- Free-quantity lines carried through orders, bills and prints
Orders booked in the field
- Salesmen book orders on their phones, at the party’s shop
- The order lands at the counter as a pure document — nothing touches stock or accounts yet
- “Make bill” loads the lines into the POS; the cashier saves a real invoice
- Statuses tracked end to end: placed, confirmed, invoiced, cancelled
- Delivery date and notes on every order
Wholesale documents
- Sales orders and delivery challans that convert to tax invoices without retyping
- E-way bill details captured and printed on challans
- A4 and A5 invoice formats that wholesale buyers expect
- GSTIN on B2B customers, with the B2B/B2C split kept for filing
The money side
- Salesman on every bill, with a monthly commission report — returns deducted, so the figure is honest
- Receivables aged oldest-first in 30/60/90-day buckets, the way every distributor tracks it on paper
- Party statements shared to WhatsApp before the argument starts
- Last-rate memory — what this party paid for this item last time, at the line
Questions people ask
How do the salesman’s orders reach the shop?
The salesman books the order on his phone and it appears in the Orders panel at the counter — as a document, not a transaction. Stock and accounts move only when the cashier converts it to a bill, so a booked order can be edited, confirmed or cancelled without leaving a mark anywhere.
Can one customer have a special rate on just a few products?
Yes — that is a customer override, and it sits at the top of the pricing hierarchy. Put the party on a tier for their general grade, and override the handful of items you have negotiated separately. Everything else falls through to tier and slab pricing automatically.
Do slab prices and schemes work offline?
Fully. The entire pricing engine runs on the local database at the counter, so party rates, slabs and schemes resolve with the internet unplugged — same as everything else in Cartix.
