Customers & credit
The credit notebook, finally readable
Almost every Indian shop runs on credit, and almost every credit book leaks. Cartix keeps the balance on the same screen as the bill — including what the balance becomes after this bill — so the person at the counter knows the position before the goods leave the shop.
Know the person behind the purchase.
Keep purchase history, credit balances and loyalty points together. Give your regulars a reason to return.

Questions people ask
Can staff see customer balances?
Only if you allow it. Ledger visibility is a separate permission, so a billing staff member can be allowed to bill on credit while the full outstanding list stays owner-only.
What does “live credit projection” mean in practice?
When the cashier marks a bill as credit, the payment dialog fetches that customer’s current balance and shows what it becomes if this bill goes through. If that crosses the limit you set, it is visible before commit — not discovered at month-end.
