Multi-counter LAN

Your shop’s own network. No internet required.

Cloud POS systems make every counter depend on a connection that is not in your control. Cartix multi-counter runs on the LAN you already have: one machine holds the database, the other counters connect to it, and the internet can be dead all day without a single bill waiting.

01 / RUN YOUR BUSINESS

A quicker counter. A calmer day.

Scan a barcode, find a loose item, split a payment. Everything you need to finish the bill stays within reach.

Hub and counters

  • One shop machine is the hub and holds the full database
  • Counters connect over your shop LAN — cable or Wi-Fi
  • Pair a new counter with a six-digit code; it stays paired with a secure token
  • Per-counter staff sessions — each counter has its own logged-in cashier

Everything works on every counter

  • Billing, products, customers, reports — the full feature set, not a stripped “client mode”
  • Bill numbers never clash between counters
  • Stock and prices consistent everywhere the moment they change
  • Counter limit set by your licence — buy another counter once and it is yours

Zero internet involved

  • The main hub and LAN must be available — no cloud round trip per bill
  • Cloud sync still runs from the hub in the background for backup and the owner’s phone
  • If the main hub switches off, connected LAN counters cannot bill; independent hubs can work offline

Questions people ask

Do I need a server or an IT person for this?

No. The hub is a normal Windows machine — usually your main counter. Install Cartix on the second machine, type the six-digit pairing code shown on the hub, and it is a counter. There is nothing to configure beyond that.

What happens if the hub machine fails during business hours?

LAN counters cannot bill while their main hub is off or unavailable. Independent hubs can work offline and sync when internet returns. Protect the main hub with a UPS and keep regular cloud and local backups; recovery depends on the latest successful backup.

How many counters can I run?

The licence includes one counter; additional counters are a one-time ₹2,499 each and carry no AMC of their own. Technically the design handles a normal shop LAN comfortably — the practical limit is your network, not the software.
