FAQ

Questions we get asked before people buy

If your question is not here, call us. We would rather answer it than have you guess.

What is Cartix?

Cartix is a connected business platform for Indian SMEs: offline POS, everyday operations and built-in customer growth tools. It runs on a Windows machine at your counter and handles billing, stock, purchases, customers, credit, staff and reports, with companion apps for the owner, staff and customers. Core billing, stock and reports work offline. Cloud features need internet and an active AMC.

Does Cartix work without internet?

Yes. Core billing, stock, search and reports run on your own machine without internet. Cloud sync, remote reports and online services need a connection and an active AMC. Independent hubs keep working offline and sync when internet returns; LAN counters still need their main hub and local network.

What does Cartix cost?

Cartix is bought once, not rented — ₹17,999 for a shop licence, with the first year of AMC included. After that an AMC of ₹4,999 a year keeps cloud sync, the online store, updates and support running, and your billing carries on even if you stop paying it. Additional counters are ₹2,499 once each, and the Cartix Watch AI add-on is ₹199 a month. There is no per-bill or per-product charge anywhere.

What computer do I need?

Any Windows 10 or 11 machine with 4 GB of RAM will run Cartix comfortably. It is not demanding — most shops use the desktop they already have at the counter. A barcode scanner and a thermal receipt printer are optional but recommended.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. The desktop trial lets you add 3 products and create 10 bills. Activate a licence to remove those trial limits; your trial data carries over.

Is my data safe if my computer fails?

Cartix stores data locally and can sync a cloud copy while online with an active AMC. If your machine fails, restore the latest cloud copy or local backup. Changes made after the last successful sync or backup may need recovery. Keep regular backups on a separate drive.

Can I run more than one billing counter?

Yes. LAN counters connect to a main hub and depend on that hub and the local network. If the main hub is off, its connected counters cannot bill. Independent hubs can work offline and sync when internet returns. Ask us to help choose the right setup for your shop.

Does Cartix handle GST?

Yes. Tax invoices with HSN and rate-wise breakup, CGST, SGST and IGST, credit notes for returns, and GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B ready summaries you can export to Excel for your accountant. Composition-scheme shops issue bills of supply instead.

Is Cartix only for shops in Kerala?

No. Cartix is built for retail businesses across India, including supermarkets, grocery stores, restaurants, bakeries, pharmacies, textile, hardware and electronics shops. The team is based in Kerala and offers remote demos and setup. The desktop interface is English; phone and WhatsApp support is available in English and Malayalam.

Do you support Malayalam?

Product names can be stored and printed in Malayalam, and support is available in Malayalam over phone and WhatsApp. A Malayalam interface is in progress.

How do I get help if something goes wrong?

Phone and WhatsApp during business hours, and remote screen access when the problem needs someone to look at it directly. Support is included while your care plan is active; the first year is included with the desktop licence.
